Situated near the river Yamuna, Sonia Vihar is a good place to live in Delhi.
But still it needs lots of facility.

Annapurna Mishra is a great leader and the first Mayor of the East Delhi. She is the leader from BJP. She is the sitting councilor from the Sonia Vihar ward number 272.
Annapurna Mishra is the well known social worker in the East Delhi area. She did great job in development of her ward Sonia Vihar and also Badar Pur Khadar, a colony very near to the Sonia Vihar.
Annapurna Mishra is the highest education councilor in Delhi. She holds a Doctorate degree. Currently she is living in the Yamuna Vihar with her family.
Dr Annapurna Mishra is the Nigam Parsad of Sonia Vihar. She is also the Mayor of East Delhi zone. She lives in the Yamuna Vihar. She holds a PHD degree. She won from the Sonia Vihar MCD seat in the year 2007 and again in 2012.

Now there are 2 dispensaries at the Sonia Vihar. One dispensary is located at the Sade Char Pusta near IQRA Public School and another dispensary is at near the Bhagat Ji Mandir at first pusta.

Again Anapurna Mishra won from the Sonia Vihar ward having number 272.It was Misra Vs Misra as both the candidates have sur name Misra but BJP Misra has been thumped Congress Mishra.
There were another strong candidates that was Rama Devi from Shiv Sena and RSS baba having television election sign.
BJP has been won from the Sonia Vihar 272 Ward.
Shyam Vatika is one of the best farm house / marriage homes in Sonia Vihar. This vatika is located on the Sade Char Pusta. You can reach here from Nanaksir by taking Auto Rickshaw. The nearest metro station is ISBT or Delhi Vishvavidhyalaya.
It is regarded as one of the best marriage vatika in North-East Delhi.

MCD election will be on the 15th April, 2012. In my locality the two major parties are Congress and BJP. And you will be surprised that both the candidates have nick name Mishra. One is Anapurna Mishra from BJP and another is Daya Mishra who is contesting from Congress party. Anapurna Mishra is a sitting councilor in our locality. Today I checked my polling booth and it is in the MR Public School located very near to my home.
