We are not in U.P. are from U.P. , today you have declared that power supply will be maintained during board examination . Sir every government of U.P. became unpopular due to power sector crisis and function of Farmer UPSEB and existing power distribution companies . In 2000 power sector reform was started and privatization of distribution company was to be done but it could not happen .Now Distribution companies(State owned) are working horribly and defaming the state government.Generation is very uncertain , low productivity of employee, heavy pollination (spm of Obra is more than 3000). Distribution companies are pilling losses more than 40%(T&D). As your mission to provide free electricity for the farmers and other lower section is possible but these companies can not do this so make your words true govt has to go hard and privatization in distribution sector has to start soon . trade unions of U.P. sector will defame govt on the issue of free electricity but I can make you sure that it is very much possible but in present setup it is impossible. In order to save your image govt has take tough action against nexus of Power emplyees and industries who are involved in theft . Again Generation of U.P. will improve by IPPs e.g. reliance Rosa , lanco anpara, J.P. and U.P. will get 6000 MW additional in coming two years but problem starts from here as generation will increase but distribution is still making loss and finally due poor reveune collection the IPPs will be in trouble to supply power to U.P. So first aim of new govt must be the reforms in distribution companies.
